I was surprised how fast the chain seems to be wearing a groove in the sprocket teeth. Maybe it is the non-Oregon chain, maybe the chain(s) are the issue since I bought a new sprocket because of the groove in the old one. My suggestion is, if you're having the same issue and you have lots of wood to cut, BUY TWO; they're not real expensive and you don't want to get stuck not being able to finish the job.
