1. It fits perfectly just like the OEM already on the Truck. 2. It is to early to know how good the quality is, it has only been a month and a half. So far everything looks great. 3. Can't recommend yet, I need to give it 6 months before I stick my neck out on that. This one was a replacement for the (Original) I am the original owner of the truck the original water pump lasted 156,000 miles.

I bought ac delco because I didn’t want to buy some made in China water pump. Turns out it was made in China says right on the pump. After I had installed the pump I noticed the pulley seems to be out of round when it spins, so it’s possible this could cause it to wear out faster. My next issue was the package it wasn’t packed with anything but wrapped in a plastic bag and thrown in a box. Whenever the shipping company got it they must of thrown it hard because there was a small hole in the side of the box. before I installed it one of the mating services had been severely nicked as is it wasn’t useable, I had to break out my jewelers file set and fix it for use. Overall I’d just buy a different cheaper brand or one from my local auto store next time

I have a 2003 GMC Yukon XL 5.3L Local mechanics replaced my water pump with AC Delco Professional. It leaked, so I bought another "new" one, and found they had messed up the gaskets. This time it came with composite cardboard gaskets (water pump to engine). I then had a slow leak; lost a half of a reservoir of coolant every 2 fill ups. I thought, "It must not be the new water pump!" - so then went through trying to diagnose a head gasket problem, but block tester and compression testing of every cylinder was ok. So I put fluorescent dye into the cooling system, and every night after work, I would pull it into the garage and crawl under with a black light to see if there was a slow leak that evaporated before I could see it - sure enough! Fluorescent dye on the transmission lines and oil pan new each night (very slight amount). So, I got a new GM water pump from the dealer $300 (after tax). They gave me the newer 2004 model (with 2 hole water outlet). The torque wrench would not register at the recommended 20 ft. lbs., due to the rubber thermostat gasket, and I broke off both bolts, extracted one, but the EZ-extractor broke off on the other. A machine shop couldn't remove it, and told me they could sell me a Gates. I got it, and it came with a composite cardboard gasket for the water outlet (to go with the thermostat gasket also - so you could either use it or not. I tightened it up without a torque wrench. Just used 25 ft. lbs on the water pump to engine with the Fel-Pros (sturdier aluminum between the holes) and it works great. 5 water pumps in 3,000 miles!Read full review
