Emergency Room: Life or Death is the fourth game in the series by Legacy Interactive. Continuing the theme of their previous games, you must examine, diagnose, and treat patients who are in varying degrees of extremis.

Life or Death presents 50 new cases, each one life threatening to some degree. Your job is to keep the morgue population down by correctly identifying symptoms and causes and effecting the right cure or treatment. The cases range in severity from cuts and abrasions to heart attacks and severe trauma. More than 40 tools, tests, and procedures are available including such items as sutures, splints, forceps, IV drip, and X-rays to name a few.

You'll operate out of Legacy Memorial Hospital, scene of the previous games, where more than 250 video sequences are provided that show the always-ready-to-help staff always on hand to offer suggestions, criticism, and praise. Fully searchable databases filled with medical facts provide hints and clues to making correct diagnoses. As in previous games, promotions are possible from beginning medical student to Chief of Staff.

Each case is numbered and provides the patient's name, complaint, occupation, and a short background story on the event leading up to the trauma. Some examples: Steve Levive, a sewage disposal expert, gets in the way of a methane explosion, cutting his thigh, Bob Dickens, mechanic, suffers a head trauma caused by a flipped car, and depressed college student, Jessica Rodriguez, mixes rubbing alcohol with water for a pick-me-up.

Emergency Room: Life or Death uses a point-and-click interface.

I love this Game
You can take care of your own patients. Pick a chart. you have 3 charts to choose from choose what patient you want, then read their medical history, and decide what needs to be done to help them. If you are unsure you can ask the nurse, Nurse Irene. Be careful though cause your patients can die if you don't get them treatment quick enough...
