This is a simple, straightforward headphone amplifier for your guitar or bass guitar. Just solid and simple and gets the job done. No built in effects but takes pedals extremely well. It even has a clip so you can attach it to your pants and walk around your room practicing. I will probably never part with this.

You definitely can get sound outta this little bugger but your guitar strings sound like rubber bands being strummed. I wish I could return it

Well I don't like Electro Harmonix but I've purchased junk practice/travel amps from fender, and the especially bad VOX..really really the VOX is garbage don't buy the VOX. This one I currently use at work with a single pickup and it sounds really nice and clean. Warm not scratchy. So even though I've wasted some money on Electro Harmonix pedals this practice amp can't be beat at the price point they sell them for. You might get something with more bells and whistles than a volume knob for twice as much but if you want a simple clean amp this will do at this price this is a great little device. I rated it 5 stars because for the price it blows away the toys out there at the same price. This is a stocking stuffer a musician can actually use.
