I love all the old horror flicks, not like the horror movies today. They might have a couple of scenes that are okay but the rest of the movie is a real disappointment. This is why I started collecting the Legacy Collection. Lugosi, Karloff, Chaney, Rained, that's when horror movies were movies.

Universal remains the best in the classic horror genre! This completes my collection of the Universal Legacy collection. This is probably the best one with the Frankenstein & Wolfman sets a toss-up for the second slot. Very good resolution, beautifully packaged + there are plenty of extras to watch. Love it all.

All the legacy collections are great and have the original gems and actors we loved. Dracula, son of Dracula, Dracula's daughter and house of Dracula. Nostalgia at it's finest for me and true movie art and our motion picture history for the cgi generation. Even found Karloff's fan site by inspiration. Enjoy! Or "Velcome"

Every horror fan should own these Legacy collections. First off, you're getting the original classic film. In addition, you get a good amount of great features and additions. I personally think that the later Dracula sequels aren't that great, but the documentary featured in the collection makes up for them. Overall, it's a great purchase and gives horror fans a good amount of content for a relatively low price.
The Legacy Collection is a superb method to view so many works of the genre. Beginning with 1931 DRACULA with Bela Lugosi, Edward Van Sloan as Van Helsing, great music score. Next, 1931 DRACULA (SPANISH VERSION), filmed at night, while English version was filmed during the day, just as good as the English version. Next, 1936 DRACULA'S DAUGHTER, again with Edward Van Sloan as "Von" Helsing & Otto Kruger as Dr. Garth. then, 1943 SON OF DRACULA with Lon Chaney Jr As Count Alucard with a weak story & characterizations. Lastly, 1945 HOUSE OF DRACULA with The Wolf Man, Dracula & Frankenstein's Monster, with the talents of John Carradine, Lionel Atwill & Lon Chaney Jr. In-depth reviews by Stephen Sommers, Lupita Tovar, David J Skal & many others, including THE ROAD TO DRACULA, a documentary of the making of the 1931 original. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!Read full review
