There is two types of cushion in this product, not all Gel. One is the standard yellow foam and the other is a thin layer of the Gel form. The seat is comfortable the black cover is warm though. I used this on a trip to Memphis for 12-14 hours on the road and it worked great. It did sit me up a little higher and I kept sliding down and adjusting myself so the Gel foam inside would ride up and bulge a little at the end. I'm using this on my scooter so I kept having to adjust the fit. I will have to figure out a better way to attach it to the seat than the one strap included on each side with the metal connection.

first it is not memory foam in the product it seems to be just a standard piece of foam. the gel is not gel it is some kind of honey comed rubber product . the zippered case is decent with velcro attached to the top and bottom and the non skid bottom seemed to work well to keep it from sliding on the seat itself .

Worked very well early on. Rode to Montana and back twice without any soreness. However, after two years of use, the pad started to leak and made the pad and seat sticky (caused by sun exposure?). It also leaked onto the back of my jeans and I could not wash out the dark gel. Not good in rain. Will soak up water. The loops that were attached to the pad could have been tighter. Other than that, not a terrible pad.

The fastening strap could be better. It took some modifications to secure the strap to the seat. I also added another fastening strap and more Velcro so the pad doesn't slide around as much.

I only wish the darn thing fit like it shows in the picture! It's very large and almost square, and the strap to attach it to the seat is a puzzle to figure out how it works. It's a decent pad, but for looks or ease of use, forget it!
