I'm an amateur radio operator (K7JKZ) and needed this thing for various projects real or imagined. After installing the rails into my rack cabinet and getting help steadying the weight and sliding the server in, I connected both power supplies, powered up and let the adventures begin. It is exactly as advertised and works 100%. Setting up RAID was a problem, despite ample information found online, and I realized I'd rather have two separate hard drives anyway rather than a RAID set and configured it that way. Currently running a trial version of Microsoft Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.
You know I've never owned a blade server but always wanted one because of how much space you can save. But the main thing I love about this server is the ability to multi-task in real time with so much speed and scalability. This item will take my business to another level.
A little loud fan wise versus a tower, but great machine. Having the dual raid drives is perfect for our needs.
I bought this to help our migration away from IBM Netfinities and Windows NT. Solid little work horse that fits the job of many needed small domain servers.
