I liked the inormative info packed dvd's although I wish it were organized by producer a little differnt. It is great to see actual footage of the war, although I still haven't finished watching it in its entirety. I liked the surprise of Gerald McRaney being the narrator and host. This film allowed me to see how things were like back then, what tools and equipment we used to go to war for the time period, and how the local civilians lived throughout the war going on around them. Seems like its tough to go through every day life living on a battlefield when your the civilian.
This is a very good History Channel production of the D-Day landings on Normandy Beach in France during WWII. This production differs somewhat in that it, in addition to the landings, goes into a profile of the Supreme Commander Eisenhower and also does a seperate part on the 101st Airborne Division during the pre-landing when paratroops were dropped to cut off German reinforcements to the landing area. A very good film for the history buffs in your family and especially lovers of WWII history. Good for the entire family except for smaller children.
Nice set of dvd's with info about the D-Day invasion which was fought in 1944. Well worth the price. Thank You.
I always had wanted this documental, and I'm glad that I found it and got it so fast and cheap... no problems at all
