My biggest issue with this otherwise good appliance is the propensity for the non-stick plates to eventually warp. This can cause them to sometimes dislodge when the warping gets severe enough, even while cooking. Cuisinart replaced my first warped plate, then that one warped as well. By the way, the warping also tends to prevent good fat drainage. My other issue with this griddle is that it never gets hot enough to truly sear thinner steaks, even though I always pre-heat to max. I like my steaks well browned, but still medium rare. This cannot be done with this griddle unless you're cooking thicker steaks, which gives it more time to sear both sides of the steak before overcooking the center. I like the overall design. The plates clean easily with a nylon bristle brush and soap. It has stood up well to regular use, and cooks quite fast since the heat is being applied to both the top and bottom of the food. I only wish the plates wouldn't warp, and that it had higher wattage heating elements to properly sear meat.Read full review
