Ordered and received from Pyramyd Air (Great folks), and received the pistol earlier today. The immediate impression is one of substance and a certain "heft" in an entry-level item. The external finish and ergonomics are simply excellent and the stippling and grooving assure a good grip. It points as naturally as a Browning High Power. The metal slide does indeed take a bit of effort to retract, but that seems to soften with use and familiarity. The best advice I can give is simply to retract the slide sharply from the start and allow inertia to assist. The fixed sights offer a great picture and are well regulated for a 6 o'clock hold. Perfect for bullseye-type paper targets, or tin cans. The trigger, while not exactly crisp, is well manageable and fairly clean in let off. Learn it and you will be a better shooter. It is spring-powered and relaxing the spring when finished shooting is crucial to the long life of a spring gun. To this end, Crosman's (tiny font) manual could be slightly more clear regarding decocking. With magazine out and mechanism cocked, the slide may be retracted and held back with a minimum of effort. Pulling the trigger will allow the user to ease the slide forward, relaxing the spring and rendering the gun completely safe and ready for storage. I have not chronographed the BBs yet, but plan to. As evening fell, I was able to hit an empty soup tin at a range of 30 feet with about 50% regularity - without my glasses. Good eyesight and daytime will certainly yield considerably better results. All told, this is a truly fun little spring gun. For those who neither need nor desire a CO2 piece, this is a good alternative. I see few negatives - especially considering that this is entry-level. Made in Taiwan quality is certainly a good step above the Chinese bits out there. NOTE: Crosman states that it is a "single shot", but that is not correct. Having a 20 round magazine, it is a "manually operated repeater" in the same class as pump action shotguns or lever-action rifles. Did I mention that it is fun?Read full review

I use this to shoot at the black birds and starlings that invade my bird feeder. It has a nice weight and pretty good accuracy too (probably user error:-) ) I had one last year and it just gave out, seems like the spring was the issue but I liked the Crosman well enough I got another one.

Nice bb gun, I like the metal slide, the of the gun is a solid polymer. Just enough power to penetrate a cardboard box and catch your bbs with in the box. Aiming gets a bit to get use too, but no problem. If you cock this gun and it feels like a jam, stop immediately, and drop the mag, and shake out the bb, works for me. I liked this gun and ordered two more for gifts.

Like the other reports, bb's do fall out if holding down. Make sure when releasing clip hold the bottom. Spring loaded and broke the base of the clip, still functional. Good fo0r the money and scaring squirrels off.

In two words.. Buy it!. Its well made and heavy duty. Love the metal slide. Its also amazingly accurate. I constantly hit a soda can at 22 feet, shredding the can and sending it flying. I have many co2 pistols that I love but its nice to just pick this gun up and cock the spring and shoot it without having to bother with the co2 and the cost of the co2. If I just have time for one or two shots I dont have to worry about wasting the co2 as I dont leave a capsule in the gun. All in all its fun and it works. Buy it.
