Ahh the American Classic, 1377, pure excellence! If ever there was a perfect survival air pistol, this is it. In it's bone stock form or modded this pistol delivers superb accuracy and in either .22 or .177 is a little critter getter. Fits nicely in a bug out bag. This pistol some pellets, a cleaning rag and pellgun oil. You won't go hungry! I have anchored squirrel, cottontail and pigeon. You don't need 1000 fps, just the right pellets and good shot placement. Check out UK charts showing actual foot/lbs chart for taking quarry. The available shoulder stock is a great kid😎

I have been shooting Crosman pellet guns since I was a kid back in the late 60's, and the Crosman 760 Pumpmaster (back then) was almost indestructible, but like ALL American companies these days, the few that still exist, quality means NOTHING to Crosman, it's all about the profit! Yes, the Crosamn is affordable, but between cheap components and shoddy workmanship, the gun won't perform well unless you invest more money in expensive upgrades, upgrades that should have been stock parts on the gun in the first place. The there is the time involved dismantling the gun to perform finish-work that should have been done at the factory. Specific finish-work like filing down the edges of the pressure tube so they don't completely scratch and scar the pump linkage of the gun, Or loosening all the screws so you can shift the components around and line-up the barrel properly. If you can afford a little extra money up front, I would suggest trying a different brand of pellet gut! Read full review

I ordered the .177 model. I got the .22 model. Since pellets were available locally, I kept it. Get the sights dialed in, and the groupings are with US Quarter, if you sight it right. The multi-pump ability lets you select your power. I find at 4 pumps my shots are consistent. Quite often I put a pellet int the exact same hole as the one before it. With practice this is a great gun. Get the Steel breach, and the upgraded sight, and this is near competition quality. Those of you with a good eye will do well.

\-I beleive the pistol can reach 700 fps at 10pumps. It's awesome at 5 Pumps, any nore is a bit of an effort, but a lot more power comes with the extra pumps. The correct 177 pellet will send it out close to 700 fps. Keep it clean, and you have to tighten the reivets or switch to small screws,LOC TIGHT. Proper care can be used for generations. My grand Sons can handle it with one or two pumps. As they mature the gun will accomadate their target skills with multible pumps use, that

This is the best multi-pump pellet pistol you can buy. The Crosman 1377 has been in continuous production since the 70s for a reason. This pistol is great, accurate and easy to shoot. There's also a pretty big aftermarket for them so you can modify it to your liking both cosmetically and performance wise. I would suggest this to anyone.
