My 7 year old son absolutely loves it! even though it doesn’t have a rifled barrel it still shoots really well at 15 yards shooting Crossman penetrators we can cover five shots with a nickel that’s excellent for a beginner.. The price I paid for it was a little high it’s worth $40.all day long but I end up paying 65 for it I was in a pinch it was for his birthday. Crossman make some of the best guns out there .

The BB chamber works fine if that is your preferred ammunition round. Loading pellets requires the included magazine to hold the round in place while it is being chambered, which I hate, as it's small and easy to lose. If you are planning to shoot pellets, do an Ebay search and order a few extra pellet magazine clips.

I have owned a Crosman 760 for many years now and it makes an excellent little pump rifle. With .177 pellets I have used it to help deal with darn varmints like chipmunks, gophers and the occasional squirrels. It is accurate up to 40 yards with or without scope. With the 5 shot .177 magazine it is also fun to use for target practice and can be safely used in indoor range with appropriate backstop. It is not as good as a Benjamin/Sheridan 397 but it a fraction of the price. The Sheridan is a great pneumatic air rifle but is rather expensive for occasional plinking.

I love this thing for all the squirrels that tore up 3 sets of patio furniture cushions and pool equipment. A little hard to adjust sight but don't give up - once you get it there - perfect squirrel tool...
