Explanations are clear & real world examples allow you to understand the topics. Most of the books I tried to read on this subject simply launched into variables, arrays, concatenation, etc., without giving clear explanations of what you were learning. Now I can go back to these other books & actually understatnd what they are talking about. I also highly recommend the authors other book "Codin for the Web" for a great intro to CSS & XHTML! Thanks - j
Instead of trying to list all of the features of each language he explains via example in the way you would do it in the real world. Believe me, that helps.
