I bought this pump to water food plots along with a Northern tool 1 1/4" standing sprinkler. I went after an inexpensive solution because I wasn't sure if irrigation would work anyway. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the set up. This thing pumps as advertised and shoots water 150 foot with sprinkler head I bought. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a healthy pump that starts first pull! Would advise getting additional clamps for the hose ends as there is so much power the ends come off with the one clamp supplied.

The wording really should be changed as this product does not due what it says it will. for this product. It does say will pump up to 3/4" maximum solid diameter this pump was purchased for the use of cleaning out a very old cistern with some sand and sludge at the bottom. When we read the instruction book inside the box it says very clear do not use pump with sand, mud, or sludge. Any of the above for me is well under 3/4" maximum solid diameter but the book makes it very clear we can not use this. Now we spent good money on a product we can not use only because the information given was false. UPS set the box off and it got wet from some rain and the box is really bad in spots. So I suppose we are stuck with something we will never be able to use. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read full review

I use this unit to irrigate my corn from a stream about 10 yards from the field which is about 25 yards wide. Pros of the machine : Gas cutoff so you can run the carburetor dry when finished, Adjustable throttle for desired flow / pressure, Takes ethanol fuel and has an in-tank fuel addition filter, Pump has a suction check valve to prevent refill on each start, SO FAR, it starts on the first crank, Plenty of head to run two local sprinklers or hoses, Rigid, high quality suction hose (this one surprised me when I opened the box), The 25' of discharge hose isn't the normal cheap thin vinyl at the box stores. Cons of the machine: None yet.

I bought the Champion 2" semi trash water pump to use a creek by my house to keep my pond full. The pump is surprisingly powerful for such a small quiet pump. The engine fires up within two pulls and is very quiet. It primes within a minute of purging every time. Primes quicker if you throttle up but it's hard to control the cap when it hits pressure. Gallons per hour seem to be as stated. The hoses supplied are decent quality for them to be included in a kit. I bought some quick connect hose off ebay to add to the pump. Overall i highly recommend this pump.

Came quickly and looked great No dings , or paint scratches. Put gas in operate the choke and remembered to flip the off switch to on Starts right up. I use it for a highbanker and I am just above an idle. Very quiet too. I lucked on this choice.
