Really good tool for making nut butters (but a little pricey, so you better like nut butter). I also have made what they call "Nice Cream" -- which is just frozen fruit blended til it's very creamy. Or you can make plain old ice cream. For thicker things you might be blending, this is great because the lid has those little fingers that keep the stuff from piling up on the sides of the jar making you keep stopping and scraping it back into the center. When you can find these 'gently' used, that's a great thing. I have the mini and the regular, both were used and affordable (and in perfect shape)

The jar is great but the cover does not fit and when I turn it on it blows the cover off and so I have to stand there and hold the cover in order to blend anything. It works find but it doesn't sound exactly like it used to but seems to work okay.

For single servings, it simply does everything better than the full sized Wildside jar. It's also easier to clean. Love it!

I love my blend tec but the containers are so large for making small purées or creamed items. I love the size of this and it’s super easy to clean. No extra attachments needed.

I've made several batches of nut butters with great success. It's a bit of an intense process and sounds brutal on the mixer. The nut butters cavitate with air and sounds like it's hard on the motor. All that being said, it doesn't seem any worse for wear and cleans up nicely!
