I thought that I could use this product to repair some welds on my aluminum utility trailer. I am a retired pipe fitter, so I have a lot of experience welding and soldering. Maybe this product will work for repairing storm windows, but it would not stick to aluminum angle iron for me.

Did the job on an aluminum heater core while using a simple propane torch. Like most things, preparation is key. Sand or wire brush area using a stainless steel brush. Then wipe the area with acetone or lacquer thinner. Heat the area and not the rod. Allow to flow. Don't overheat and let part cool slowly. Don't cool by blowing air or pouring water on repaired piece. Practice on a scrap piece of aluminum.
