Before buying this gun, I did a lot of research on it. I knew the gun was heavy, hard to cock, had a bad trigger, all screws have to be tightened and glued, has a long break-in period, and is difficult to shoot due to the heavy recoil. Despite the negatives, I like the gun! I bought it to shoot from a bench. I have addressed all the negative issues and it is becoming a real shooter!!!!

This is my second attempt at getting a new crosman product that is worth having. Both times a failure.First one was crosman valiant. Reviews were great. Could not even get it sighted in. Returned and got Benjamin NP XL. Trying to load a pellet the first time sliced my finger open on the razor blade sharp edges on every part of the breach area. The trigger was long, rough, gritty , and about 15lbs. Both issues could be fixed but for $345 I should not have to fix their junk to make it work. This is in my opinion sub $100 garbage and there will not be a third one. I will spend just a little more and get German built. Benjamin and crosman are only a name of what use to be a decent product.

The gun is very accurate and powerful. Consistent chronograph times. Easy to repair except for what happened to mine. The scope rail fell off after less than a month. Thank goodness I was shooting off the bench and it didn't trash my high dollar scope. Tried to JB weld it on to no avail. Hope crosman will warranty it due to having tried to fix it on a hunting trip. Gun is great other than that.

It's a big heavy, long gun. I have only used it briefly to dial in the sight, my short distance groupings were fine. I wanted to try a .22 option to my Gamo Bone Collector .177 that works great once I replaced the scope for my short range red squirrel needs. To do it again, I likely would have purchased a lighter Gamo .22 for my short range needs and gotten a lighter and less expensive gun...

I like the look and feel of gun. I don't like the trigger. I baught this gun cause of the nitro piston. I like the idea of keeping it loaded for as long as I need to get the right shot. Where as spring fired guns the spring will show fatigue.
