Good and easy to use, just have to make sure that when you are using the ear pieces, that you must push and hold the button for a second or 2 before you talk. Wish they would have the wire on the ear piece fixed so it doesn't come out of its channel.

You have to program it if you are not licensed for ham, with that said you need to purchase a cable and search the internet for the software to program for non licensed operation. The programing part will take you about 20 to 30 minutes and there you go. So then it works fine. It has the larger battery for longer use. I am new at using this radio, so far so good. I plan on using it for emergency and camping, for this purpose I here it is a good radio. Time will tell.
