The particular machine I bought at auction, arrived broken. I stripped it, and managed to get it to work for a short time, then it stopped reading discs. I threw it away, and bought another one in a Goodwill store. I paid $20 for the second one, and it works perfectly. THis machine is easily adapted to run Region Free, and the Macrovision can be disabled, which when coupled with a DVD Recorder such as the Lite-On 5007, will allow you to record any disc you want. The 600A is an old model, and has gone through many rebirths, and upgrades, but it is still a very good machine, with ample capability and an easy to navigate setop menu.
Allows playing of DVDs bought overseas but can overheat easily so do not use for long periods without a cool down period.

I love the AD-600, it has been the mainstay for Apex! It is easy to modify to be Macrovision Free to record to any DVD Recorder Like the Samsung DVD-R135. I like being able to buy ANY region DVD's and play them with no effort! Overall, this is a great player!!
An Apex DVD player that has a karaoke function built in if you are into singing. Design is compact.
