Anger Management for Dummies is a readbile, step by step guide to managing anger ranging from minor aggrivation to full blown rage. The book presents useful, evidence based tips, examples and humor. Concepts are presented realistically, so that the reader can relate it to his or her own life. When angry, the techniques easily come to mind. Negative points include content that is not applicable to every reader (for example, child rearing and anger).
It is very simple to understand and get a grip on. I started it the night I got it and I put it down to write this. I love how it explained to me in terms that I understood that what I was going through could be worked on. And it also helped me see a different perspective on my behavior, and why I didn't even see what was going on. I bought this because a few people I knew mentioned me having an issue. So, I wanted to work on that issue, without going to anyone about it. I like to deal with things internally. This book was a great tool for that. I seriously walk around work every day now thinking "Man I used to be like that" and smile. I am not kidding!
some of the "for dummies" books are almost self satire, as in pit bulls for dummies and others of that ilk. This book is actually helpful, chock full of practical advice and helpful hints that actually make sense and make a difference. It makes you face your problem and helps you on the road to overcoming it. very highly recommended.
