SHORT VERSION: Overall: Good Quality: Mediocre Value: Best Versatility: Best Durability: Paint: Bad Metal: Good Welds:Bad LONG VERSION: I would rate this as Good overall but there are flaws so make sure the flaws do not conflict with what you want it for. Now I already knew this was cheap but it did what it had to do, transport lumber and ladders to its destination. All the hardware is included. The box was a little beat up when we got it but all parts were inside. Quality is mediocre because of the welds being bad but the metal should withstand rust for a few years due to the type of metal it is. When installing make sure the bolts are being put in even because if you force it, the weld will snap (told you it was cheap). It held 2 30 ft ladders on a F250 with a big bulk of the wood on top. It held a decent amount and lasted hours on the truck with no rattles. The value of this is what you would expect for around $100. If you expect something spectacular, just spend the money and get a name brand one. This does the job for a temp fix if yours broke or it fills the gap until you get your lifetime warranty one fixed or replaced. (If your okay with new holes being in the bed) Versatility is pretty good since the rods are adjustable and it fits almost all trucks because custom holes have to cut into the truck. Now this can fit around 3 locking boxes from Tractor Supply in the bed of truck ONLY if you make holes for the boxes too. I recommend putting sealer in the holes to prevent rust in the future. The durability is mediocre overall. Paint was chipped easily installing it so I do not know how the top looks after the lumber and ladder were on top but I can guess it probably ripped off. I recommend doing a clear coat over the whole thing before install. Most clear coat sealers dry in 5 to 10 mins to the touch. The metal seems pretty good, we ran over it with the truck and it did not bend but do not go throwing 1,000 lbs on top of it. The ground had holding points all along the surface so it covered the whole thing. Throwing extra weight on top puts pressure in the middle where there is no hold bar which would cause a bend. This was just to prove it will bend before it collapses in on itself.Read full review

The ladder rack components are solidly built however the packaging for shipping was terrible. The cardboard box was lightweight and incapable of holding the parts secure and stable. The contents shifted and several areas of damage to the powder coating on the rack occurred. Hardware for mounting the rack was not secure within the packaging and several nuts and bolts fell out of the box during shipping.

It's very nice set up, good tubing. Love how easy it is to put together! 10 min and it was assembled and being used! Great product the bolts that come with it tho don't look that strong so used some of the bolts I had at the shop used for resorations or mechanical work!

This is very sharp looking, a lot of work to install though. Took over 4 hours to install between drilling holes, and trying to one hand washers and nuts. A couple bolts are almost impossible due to the angle needed. Be careful when purchasing because no hardware or instructions came with mine even though it was supposed to. I ended up buying 12 1/2x 2 inch bolts with washers, lock washers and nuts. I then used 8 3/8x1 bolts for the top pieces. By using bolts it also allows you to remove the cross bars easily when necessary. Use some black rustoleum to touch up any scratches to prevent unnecessary rust from starting.

For the money this is a very good product, solid and I trust it to hold any thing I put on it, I only had one slight problem with it: This comes with 8 bolts, nuts and washers, the vertical bars have 3 mounting holes on the mounting plate, 4 bars = 12 bolts needed. I suppose it could be bolted to the truck with only 2 bolts in each but if you're like me you want the 3. I would recommend using lock washers that don't come with this also. All in all a good product .
