So, if you are going form a "one horn" to "two horn" setup like this, there won't be enough horn juice to run both. I wired up the relay, and the ground, and all the wiring, and... nothing. I ended up buying an aftermarket harness that's prewired, and we'll see how it turns out. THe horns are clear when used one at a time, but my older car, (a 1993 Volvo Wagon) doesn't have the juice to power both.

Was pleasantly surprised by this horn set from HELLA! Honestly, was expecting a "80's Japanese car" sounding horn. What I got sounded more like an vintage German car sounding unit. In fact, my first association came deep from within the crevices of my cerebellum. Herbie the love bug! It was a pleasant, distinct sounding tone. Not an annoying tone that would make you want to punch a driver that pressed the button. Not at all. Plenty loud but not startle you out of your skin yap-yap dog annoying! Highly recommended!!

Good horns, louder than stock, bolt up to the existing BMW E36 mounting points. One star deducted because the kit could have (and should have) included the spade terminal crimps and a wiring block for the relay (there’s just a bare relay). It’s not really a complete kit as is.

Color matched well with the other blue accents on my car. A little trouble trying to wire the horns but once squared away they look fantastic. The sound is projected a lot further they the single high tone that was stock.
