Had a problem with front brakes pulling right side on a Silverado 2500HD and went to a Chevy truck forum and looked at the info there and found most of the material wrong on what the problem was . Was told wheel sensors, brake hoses,Rotors warped , bad tires, bad shocks , bad calipers , bad master Cyn. and found that it was the ABS Module and the ABS pump was bad and the proportional valve is built in the ABS pump now and the fluid to the front brakes was not even and also had air in the ABS pump . So after 12 years the ABS module and pump unit was worn out . The ABS module is the Computer brain of the unit and can be rebuilt but pump unit can be replaced . Its an all day job to replace both and bleed the air from the lines . Takes only 45 minutes to remove both and same time to install . But labor is in bleeding air from brake lines and road testing and using a OBDII scanner and do a Auto bleed a few times . look at 6 to 9 hours of work replacing ABS unit . The pump unit pressure is different on other models . Pressure is around 9,000 PSI for a Silverado 2500HD . So have to make sure you have the right pump unit .Read full review
