Item covers a lot of basic plants and berries that you can consume. It would be a little better if it included Mushrooms, too. Also, If it had food stuffs that might be available during Winter. Most everything shown is geared towards a "Fall" time period. This would be a great thing to have in your "Backpack/ Daypack" so you have it with you when you are out in the woods/ forests. I realize that you can't put every thing in a small folding booklet, but if you are out "foraging", it would help if it covered a little bit on other needs as well. I like it, and would recommend it to any one. Who ever the source is, I'd suggest that they expand it or make others as part of a series to cover Wilderness Survival Activities as well. I'd suggest that they write a "more" specific, rather than "generic" guide where it covers "food" stuffs geared to areas of the specific country, like the Pacific North West, etc..Read full review

Although it is of high quality it is only a fold out pamphlet . Looks like something you could get free at a state park and shame on you for charging so much! But I digress. Good marketing. I bet you get a lot back ?

The pictures along with descriptions are wonderful. I have a book about edible wild plants, this has some other plants that are not in the book. Would reccommend to all.

This a very nice pamphlet showing all the basic edible plants available, and also the poisonous ones too. Very nicely layed out in full color and great for travel. Only negative maybe is that it dosen't tell the region each plant is in, but other than that very nice, and I would recommend it for survival needs

First of all this is not a paperback book. It is a laminated pamphlet. Which is fine if thats what you wanted. I thought I was getting a big regular paperback with much more information. But this item is great to take into the field. It fits right into your pocket and won't be messed up by bad weather. Has good color pictures, so you can be sure of the plant your looking at. Easier to identify the plants than the black & white pictures in the old books. Describes aprox. 112 plants including fruits & berries, nuts & seeds, leaves, stems & bark, roots & tubers, seashore plants, desert & tropical plants, & poisonous plants. Could definitely help you find a meal out in the wilderness.
