Good camera to have w/ kids
This is a good after market camera. I have one on both of my vehicles and gives me piece of mind where ever I go. My husband put it on with no problem. This is the second one I put on my car because the first camera came apart. The one thing my husband did differently with this one and the one he put on his vehicle is he put a clear coat silicon around the seam to keep moisture out. The package states that it is waterproof it is to an extent but I don't think completely. My husband has has had the one on his vehicle for several years w/ silicon and has not had any issues or moisture. I think the clear silicon gives it an extra protection from weather and will give you extra years with this camera.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

PEAK 2.4" Screen Wireless Backup Camera
I will start by saying that this is by no means the greatest camera out there but for the 24.99 price WHAT THE HECK. I bought this camera not for backing up "safety" concerns but for one specific purpose, that is for hooking up to my travel trailer. The installation is extremely simple if you have the slightest of mechanical and electrical knowledge. The display is of fair quality when the signal from the transmitter is not being blocked. It does seem to loose the picture quite often but that may be due to my choice of transmitter location. I installed the transmitter behind the taillight of my 2000 Model Ford F-350. The camera mounting system is made of metal so I was surprised by that, I expected cheap plastic. The night operation is not the best. I would rate that a 3 out of 10. The display portion of this system is fair with it's brightness and contrast functions I am sure you can find a picture quality that is acceptable in the day time. The only downfall to this system is the cheesy suction cup that comes with it. I would rate this at a 1 out of 10 and that because I finally got it to stick to windshield after about 20 attempts. Do I recommend this product? yes and No Yes if for trailer hook ups No for much of anything else Is it a good Value? YES at just under 25 bucks to keep your wife from standing back there guiding you in wrong. HELL YES Is it of good Quality? For what it's worth
I used this not for a back up camera but as a front end camera for my Corvette! The front end is very low and sometimes it is very hard to judge the distance from those parking curbs. I mounted the camera with industrial plastic Velcro. There's no place to mount the screen on my Corvette so I put it on the topside of my sun visor. It's perfect this like this, out of the way but easily brought into view and most importantly it's going to save the front end of my car.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
