Leslie simulation is a tricky thing because there's no way a pedal can reproduce the sound of a speaker spinning in the room (4 dimensional sound) but it can reproduce the sound of a miked Leslie as you would hear on a record. So I won't speak to how close this comes to a real Leslie. This thing is fun to play through both for the rotary effect, especially when using 2 amps (and for God's sake use a pair of tube amps), and for the compression/drive effects that are built it. It inspires a different playing style that I normally use which is also fun and can lead to better recording etc. The only thing I found to be a little strange is the brake, which really isn't a brake at all but is more like turning off the motor drive and letting it spin down at the rate set by the acceleration knob. It's not a flaw just different and if you want more control you can use an expression pedal. Something else that would have been nice would have been stereo inputs, I run the second half of my pedalboard in stereo and already have an Electric Mistress as my one mono to stereo pedal.Read full review

This is exactly what I was looking for as a bass player! This has the sound of a wah with a damn good punchy hit! It captures the lows perfectly (bold). I don't use much of the HP and BP so much, because they seem to take too much of the lows out. So I leave it on the LP setting and with the Q and Drive knobs, I can adjust it the way I need. Very cool product.

Since purchasing this Q-tron, I’ve been very much excited with the pedal, the traditional filter sound, it’s features and it’s functions. It’s definitely a pedal worth having(a great investment), if your into R&b/hip-hop, funk, Motown, Alternative, soul and even Neo-soul. It has given me a lot of creative ideas for construction music, the tones are beautiful, try it out for yourself, I know I am not disappointed. It’s on my pedal board and I record with it. It’s AWESOME!.

Very simple design for those who just want to use it for certain songs to get the Jerry tone or add a little funk to the mix. Doesn't take up too much room on the pedal board either. EHX is very responsive via email if you have any questions or concerns with their products

The Micro Q-Tron pedal was what I needed to replace the Vox Wah I've been using for years. It took some fine tuning and I'm still in the process of exploring various sounds and limitations. I'm a professional and play gigs regularly so I need something that is user-friendly, efficient and durable. So far so good. It emulates the Garcia Mu-tron of the 70's well and with no hassle. The bass player I play with was skeptical at first but said it "sounded good" after a gig. I don't really miss the manual Wah, though the sound is not exactly the same.
