First off, I want to say that I really like this little recorder. That said, there are a few items that need attention. (1) - It is advertised as an 8 GB recorder. The paperwork that came with it said 8 GB. However, the manufacturer 's sticker on the side of the recorder plainly stated, in LARGE glossy letters, 4 GB. I, personally, am fine with that. Four gigs is more than I'll ever use ( I do some freelance writing on the side and use it to store ideas until I can write them down). However, I do like to receive as advertised. (2) - It does too many things for my personal use. I only want it as a recording device but it's also an MP3 player, for which I have no use. It has 8 different buttons for a device less than 1.5" × 3.5" × .5" and two of those buttons are actually dual function. (3) - The instructions are gibberish. You have a better chance of figuring it out by trial and error than by trying the instructions. It's true that I'm an old man but I'm pretty tech savvy. Now, all that having been said, after I got through the challenge of figuring it out, I love my little recorder. It's tiny and discreet, without the public rudness of pulling out my giant phone. I don't have to hit several icons to go to my voice recorder. Two little taps and I'm live. I would give it 5 stars if they simplified it. I would definitely recommend it. Read full review

The unit is smaller and not as beefy as the picture led me to believe,but for the price it's not that big of a deal. The sound quality from ambient recording is adequate. Recording a phone conversation was sub par. I was not able to change the play back to a single review. It defaults to five repeats which becomes very annoying. What I really like is the versatility of features.
