I feel that this product was worth it for the flashlight alone. I had no trouble seeing the dye. It even revealed things on fabric that you didn't know where there. I didn't seem to find that the glasses were even necessary to find the compressor shaft leak. The case was surprisingly sturdy. I used all of the dye (not sure it was needed).

UV light did not work, turned on switched many time, even with new battery. After long inspection, I found out that the UV light assembly was supposed to make contact with the body of the light when assembled, but was not, After several try of head and body assembly, it finally made contact and worked. They did not do final testing in manufacturing.

I had a leak in my car's AC and could not find it with the uv detector. I got a halogen detector and found it in just a few minutes. The leak was in the evaporator and the uv detector did not find it. The uv detector would be fine for leaks out in the open.
