Three things make this an outstanding guitar: (1) the feel of the neck and general playability are fantastic. However, if you buy one of these babies, take it to a knowledgeable and skilled guitar tech for a setup. I did. The result? The guitar has great action and playability (notes are easily bent). (2) the sound of the guitar is "pure Telecaster." (3) the Vintage '64 Telecaster is light in weight, so your neck/back will not hurt during long sets. Hope this helps. This guitar plays and sounds like a dream. Add a Fulltone 2 pedal and you'll get all the crunch and overdrive any player could want.

I bought the 52 in 2013 and liked it so much I bought the 58 in 2014 which was the twangiest of the two. In 2015 I bought the 64 and haven't looked back. These 3 guitars are my favorite. The 64 has such a comfortable neck and the Vintage vibe is there with each guitar. I don't recommend just buying one. Buy all 3 like I did and you'll be set for life. I'll never own a 6 saddle telecaster again. It's the 3 saddle bridge that makes a telecaster well, a telecaster. So many wussy guitar players out there crying how they can't set up 3 saddle bridges. Leo designed it this way for a reason. I cringe whenever I see someone playing a 6 saddle telecaster because I know that in their minds they think they're playing a telecaster when me and countless others know the truth.

This Fender Vintage has the perfect feel, sound and looks. This is the only rosewood neck fender I own. I can grind out my favorite Rock songs and she plays country like butter. Clean and gritty she can do it all and she's just so fun to play. What more can I ask for?
