The hose will retract quickly once the flow of water starts. It difficult to keep it extended as you water things. But it's built really well and should last quite a while.

I've purchased several expanding hoses ranging in price from $9 to $30. The most expensive one "seen on TV" has been flawless for 2+ years. It has large brass connectors at both ends. Unfortunately, the Big Boss Xhose has a much shorter brass connection at the faucet end. Despite tightening it with and without plumbers tape, the faucet connection leaks. The hose itself is much heavier than the TV hose. so I'm hoping that part lasts for years. If I had it to do over, I'd stick with the green hose advertised on TV and sold by some major retailers.

Very lightweight and easy to use. My last hose was leaking at the spigot and this one has a nice tight seal with no leakage. Also VERY easy to store since in retracts when not in use. You don't have to roll it up or install a hose holder. I just drop the hose in a very small bucket. Great product!

I bought this hose to replace an old Xhosa that sprung a leak which was my fault. The hose was fine after many years of use. This is a newer version and the same one that I use in the back of my house. The quality has improved over the years and when the water is drained out, the hose even takes up less room than one I ruined. I highly recommend this hose.

It is of high quality, does not get tangled, is very easy to coil up and put away. It expands and contracts perfectly. I love it!
