Fully machined hammer, stamped-out lever, both strong and no flaws. Good fit: it was slightly wide, perfect for fitting to my pistol. Would recommend, will buy another soon.

The hammer worked exactly how I wanted it to and was easy to install in my rock island GI 1911. It changed the whole look of the gun for a very reasonable price.

Hardened steel, pin fits perfectly, not P/M sintered, the black coating is so tight it almost looks anodised or powder coated, and like they said the important surfaces have been machined. I took mine and in an attempt to make the curved rod look like my original with a round 1/2 inch on the end instead of square I took hammer and anvil to it. The metal was so hard it took me an hour to properly pean it.

A few hundreds of an inch on the narrow side for fit with most frames, there are no sprue scars or mim hardness testing punch marks. Every bit as nice as the S&W hammer i got from midway, with strut and pin included. I stoned and polished the hooks, but of course it would have worked without.

The hammer has a thick ceracote, and it is oversized, meaning you will (naturally) have to ream the trigger hole and sand/stone the ceracote off the working surfaces and stone-in the sear catch. All that is a good thing - as it should be. Great value.
