.hack//Legend of the Twilight takes place after the video game series (which is after .hack//SIGN) and was originally not intended for an anime, but was a manga. Two children (twins in real life separated by their parents seperation) win a contest for limited edition character that look just like the legendary characters Kite and Black Rose. Strangely CC Corporation has no record of holding such a contest, and impossibly strong monsters and strange events seem to follow these two characters wherever they go. This series isn't near as good as .hack//SIGN, but for fans of the series, it is a continuation of the story line. It has a lot more slapstick comedy and monster fighting than the original series as well. This series seems much more adapted for a younger audience, even most of the main characters are about 14-17 in real life. It is overall good, but I can't say it is excellent.Read full review
An anime that was more made for the fans then for people who are uninterested in the series, .hack Legend of the Twilight is a great anime for the fans that enjoy playing the games. Set 4 years after the events of the original .hack series, the anime continues the events of the mysteries behind The World. Brother and sister Shugo and Rena are giving the character models of the heroes Kite and BlackRose from the original games. While playing the game, events keep occurring to them that go back to the original Epitaph of the Twilight mystery during Kite and BlackRose's time in the game. Overall, it's a great anime if you enjoy the game series, but if you don't play the games, you'll have a hard time understanding what is going on.
I loved the plot line and the colorful characters. This video was really terrific. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
