I purchased these to change the background color on several of my Casio digital watches of the plain old boring light gray that we've all become accustomed to over the past several decades. The only ones I'm uncertain about are the gray and purple sheets. They don't appear to let enough light through to be able to read the display. There are two shades of yellow included, but one of them is a little too light and I don't plan on using the pink sheet, so I have a total of five colors to work with. Four of them, blue, green, red and yellow I've already used and they look great. So far I haven't tried the orange sheet yet, but I'll be giving it a shot fairly soon. As far as the quality of these gels is concerned, I have no doubt that these are of excellent quality. They're thick and rigid enough so they don't crinkle or otherwise get damaged when trying to cut them, but they're thin enough that they fit between the crystal and the movement of a digital watch without adding any extra thickness that would make installing the battery cover difficult or impossible to reinstall. Stencilling on them is easy enough with a fine point mechanical pencil, and they're easy to cut without damaging the lamination or creating air bubbles between the layers. The thin clear film layers are easy to separate from the gel for a clear look, they can be left on to give a slightly frosted look, or leave one on to set the clarity somewhere in the middle. The one thing to be careful of though, is that the clear film layers on each side are easy to scratch, so if you're planning on leaving them on, they have to be handled with a bit of care. I didn't want them to be too shiny or to reflect light, so I chose to leave the clear plastic films on both sides. One thing worth mention about not peeling the films off; minor imperfections in the films won't show through and ruin the display of the watch, so don't worry about fine scratches because once you get the watch reassembled, you'll never see them unless you try really, really hard to. So the basics are that they're fairly durable, lightweight, easy to work with and have a great deal of clarity even though while still being vibrant and brightly colored. The sheets are roughly 11¾"× 8¼", so if you're working on small screened products, you should be able to find many uses for them besides camera flash and stage lighting. Just for laughs, maybe next I'll try this out on a pocket calculator. Hopefully you have found this review helpful.Read full review

thought I was buying theatre type gel, this stuff is really thick. It is good for outside uses. I recently installed a new LED porch light. I rolled up this Gel and put it inside the porch light and I have a color for every season.
