No earth at all. Extremely dangerous and should not be sold anywhere, especially the UK market where this product is illegal. Attaching an earth to the unit for your welding will do nothing as the unit itself has no earth. The unit is tiny and cannot approach even 50% of it's supposed capacity without overheating and would only be good for welding tin cans together. I got my money back.

How the hell do they do it for the money? I read quite a few reviews before purchasing this welder. I though, at this price, it was worth the risk. It arrived very quickly, and was well packed. It is so light I thought it must be an empty case and I was being conned. But no. I already had welding leads and an electrode clamp so it did not take too long to get it up and running. Tried first 2.5mm mild steel rods at 90 amps. The machine only made a slight noise but the weld was smooth with the currect staying at 90 amps. No spluttering. No surges or drops in current. I tried the current up to 120 and down to 80 amps. A little 'sticky' at 80 amps and a bit spluttery at 120 amps probably due to the 2.5 mm rods. I put 4 rods through the machine in rapid order with no problems and no thermal tripping. However, it did trip the ring main 32 amp RCCD twice at 120 amp. No problem at 100 amp though. Note. The macine is not earthed! I would recommend this for service engineers who need to carry a light weight welding machine for occasional/emergency use. Not sure how long it would last in a fabrication shop!Read full review
