I am an atheist, but even so I am known for having an open mind when it comes to theism and its followers, I own many books of this kind including, most of the religious scriptures. This book in particular failed me in just the first 10 pages of the body of the book, the complete closed mindedness of Ray Comfort and the complete ignorance of this man is overwhelming. It is obvious he does not have any degree in theism, in fact after reading just an 1/8th of the book I decided to do some research on his background and found that he was raised Jewish and never had any Christian training which isn't a problem but he only attended church 4 times in 20 years... because he said church insulted his intelligence... This is comming from the same person who doesn't know the difference between a random accident and a favorable environment. This is repeated over and over again referring to how can an atheist believe that all this is random... ex: "Lets be a fly on the wall to witness a man that was created with the idea of evolution, is it just a coincidence that when our first "evolution" controlled man takes his first breath, that there was air around him to breath? Otherwise he would just suffocate"... He uses this as proof that the burger king god (Have it Yahweh, I know terrible huh lol) exists. When the fact that he breaths the air that is available is an adaptation of his specifies over time. Thus he is what he is and does what he does due to his environment, not just a random pop into existence into an alien world he isn't suited for. I run into this a lot with theists, and have explained my point, after which they say it could be correct, that's all I ask is for an open mind. Now I know that Ray has been issued this question and this explanation and he keep that closed mind of his and just thinks god, god, god, sinner, sinner, sinner, save them, save them, save them. Rather than turning this into a bashing just because of the material of the book, which I almost completely did lol, the book is poorly written, even by a two year college student... Thank you Mr. Schultz... Its meat is completely ignorant and self absorbed. Avoid if at all possible unless your like me and would like it just to have it in your collection.Read full review
I am atheist and I think "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel is far more compelling... and that book is still full of just as much fallacious, ad hominem drivel. This book is just more unnecessary attacks on atheists who get thrown to the curb by religious people all the time to begin with just because they don't conform to the world view they believe should be conformed to. There's no truly compelling reason to read this book unless you just want to circle-jerk with Comfort and agree with everything he says. DO NOT use this book as a method to find truth.

It is a commonsense way of looking at things. Sadly, many people don't look at life that way - many are too narrow minded. Nowadays, far too many people choose to ignore history. If only more people would take the time to understand history, we would be able to prevent some things from happening again. The book is practical and a joy to read. There are many place where the Atheist's comments boarder on lunacy - which is outright laughable. I highly recommend it - not exclusively for Atheists mind you, but everyone. It's simply that good and packed with things all of us should be not only thinking about, but also talking about.
