This yoga program delivered what it promised-a yoga practice for those of us who can not do the traditional mat practice. Peggy Cappy is easy to listen to and easy to follow. Seeing the accommodations for each sequence makes this DVD valuable for the rest of us. I highly recommend it.

DVD is well produced, not great production values, but adequate. She does introduce newcomers to Yoga easily and gracefully, no hurt muscles from this DVD! Will help all ages who want a nice intro to Yoga, and those who might be more..uhh, mature to overcome their fears of it. There are various levels of activity presented, and newbies are encouraged to try a lesser level if it makes them more comfy. No Size 2 models were harmed in the making of this video! ( no hotties to make us feel intimidated...)
This DVD covers basic yoga very well; it is great for beginners as well as advanced yoga students - the instructor shows you how to modify poses to accommodate those with limitations, as well as how to make the poses even more advanced if you wish to challenge yourself. It's great that everyone, regardless of your abilities or skill level, will benefit from this DVD. The instructor is easy to follow with clear, concise directions. I highly recommend this DVD!

Yoga for the Rest of Us is an excellent set of exercises for anyone who has a limited range of motion, either from too much time at a desk or from arthritis or injuries. It really IS designed for the rest of us! The sequence of exercises is gentle and thoughtfully designed for those of us who are trying to lose weight or are trying to rise above the aches and pains of aging. Peggy Cappy is delightfully gentle and informative. I never felt like I was trying to compete with skinny little babes in leotards who could bend themselves like pretzels while I was struggling to do the simple stuff. That said, it is easy to ratchet up the challenge level as you grow stronger and more flexible. I regularly return to the exercises on this video and they make me feel great. It's easy to follow and she gives you confidence no matter what level of yoga you are on. I also like how she show you to use a chair to modify you position, since my knees are an obstacle for some positions. I just wish some of the position were a little more challenging, although I am a beginner I excerise other ways and maintain a level of fitness.
