Already have one if these and am replacing one of my current 6870's which is a non-reference model. The major difference is that with this model (reference design) you can modify the voltages to either conserve energy and reduce temps, or increase voltage and overclock. Because of this, the reference design cards are rare since everyone wants them. Overall, for the price I can't think of a better card, especially for crossfire. My current setup runs Battlefield 3 maxed out and I will get over 80 fps. once I get this second reference card in, I can overclock and try to get even more out of it.
Upgraded from A Geforce GT 220 to this Card with amazing Results. Since I Game a lot I installed this card in to my System Win7 Ultimate 64 . 6 GB Ram . 3 TB HDD . Intel Quad Core 2 Duo Q8300. This Card made my Battlefield Bad Company 2 look like sugar compared to my old GT220. 87 constant FPS on High Settings. Now with Battlefield 3 I play on High Details with 1600x900 . constant 43 - 55 FPS and amazing effect. Tried Ultra Settings but resulted in lags :( i am super satisfied with this Card and can reckon this card to any gamer who wants bang for his Buck .. ALoha
