Well, when I first tried it I was ready to throw it in the trash. It was difficult to fit my wide, men's wristband into the slot, making it very difficult to see the hole the pin need to go in to, then when I finally had it aligned and started turning the screw handle, the pin bent. The pen appeared like just a piece of stainless steel wire that was either too thin or not hard enough. However, I remembered there were spare pins that came with the unit, so I dug those out and they looked stronger, being a darker color. I installed one and, lo, the device worked. It was still difficult to align everything (it would be much easier with a narrowing wristband), but it worked! Yes, the device is cheap, but with the replacement pin installed it is certainly more than worth the small price paid. To be fair, I only paid a couple of bucks for this--but you get what you pay for, right? My issue is that the pins are very soft--every one of them bent from very minor pressure. Consequently, I was able to get ONE watchband adjusted before all the pins bent.

The packagfe gave little or no indication of the contents, If a good instruction sheet were enclosed the mystery of the use would be worth the price. I would have thrwn the item away, still trying to understand how it works. Not good, not recommended.
