All these powerful women! How about Deborah? This may not even be politically correct, but the Bible is a book for women and most of Jesus' followers were women like Lydia who led a church of women that met by a river. Then there is the story of a powerfully rich Mary Magdalene, not a pet prostitute the profligate church turned her into, but an independent woman who supported an itinerant Jesus by cooking for him or by annointing his feet with a perfume that would have cost an equivalent of $20,000 in America today. Watch out! These women are not as tame as we thought. And Jesus went out of his way to talk with women at wells. It took Luke the physician that exposed the many women in Jesus' life in a way that other gospel writers feared to reveal in a chauvinistic world. Not a good book for all those chauvinistic misogynists out there who want to keep their daughters reduced to a smiling cheerleader or a piece of meat for men to feast on. Caution, this is a good book: beware of Esther and Deborah and other female saviors! And we dare not mention that the first person Jesus appeared to when he arose was a WOMAN named Mary Magdalene. For Jesus and for our heavenly Father, we must reiterate one truth: Ladies First. Their priority in society as the heart and core of family must not be ignored. This book is a good reminder. Until we men can cherish women like God does, we will never deserve to be here.Read full review
I purchased this coloring book to use in the church nursery with toddlers and early elementary students. I am pleased with the drawings and women of the Bible that are presented.
This is an excellent way to teach the Woman of the Bible. This is educational for grownups and and children alike . The illustrations are excellent to color in this book.
