Wire must be ran to provide 12 volt power. Wireless is signal from camera to screen. Camera wire runs to signal sending unit which I placed in a rear over the bed cabinet. Bottom line; I could have ran hard wire just as easy as wireless. I ran wires from the wireless camera to engine compartment connecting into the fuse box. Therefore I could have just as easily ran a camera hard wire to screen display. I bored a hole through the rear camper skin to access over the bed cabinets to place the wireless signal antenna, so why not just run a hard wire along with the hot wire.
