I decided to buy this book because I wanted to learn the basic rules to learn how to start playing the game. It's very easy to read. A pretty good start if you only have an idea on how to play. This book is not for advance players. They would find this book too boring. This book is just a bare bones basic for playing a friendly game to start learning how to play without using money or try yourself out at the learing tables but definitely not in a low or high stakes casino game.
This book contains 224 pages and includes the following in the table of contents: Introduction, Why play Texas Hold'em, How to play Texas Hold'em, Hold'em poker terms, History of poker and a little trivia, Casino Hold'em advice, Winning poker concepts, Practical winning Hold'em concepts, The strategy and tactics of Hold'em, The science of tells, Skills you need to win at Texas Hold'em, How to play specific hands, Short handed games, Hold'em odds, Appendix 1-7 Card stud strategy, Appendix 11- Personal poker record book. I purchased this book so that I can learn to play Texas Hold'em. Since I have view other products on the Internet, I have concluded this book is by far worth the investment.
This is one of the best, if not the best, hold'em books I have ever read and I beleive that I have read many more than most of the people I play with. If you have never read a book on this subject and are looking for a good one, this book should be your first.
The book is a novice book for beginning poker players. it is however an easy read! The chapters are broken down and clearly seperated from nuts to bolts!
i think is one of the best book written, i hope i become a better poker player after i read this book
