Tom Petty’s solo project is better than with the Heartbreakers! Petty has so many ideas that it takes a double album set to present! This plays like a greatest hits album but that’s a testament to how strong this album is! No duds here! The CD is the value here considering how staggeringly expensive this is to get in vinyl in good quality!

The more I listen to Tom Petty's Wildflowers, the more I enjoy it. The more I wish I listened to it more. Produced by Rick Ruben (amazing huh?!) this is a mature Tom Petty that features lots of acoustics, great lyrics and meaningful, epic songs. The sounds are more mellow and deeper than early 90s Tom Petty (and with a less scratchy voice). Rick Ruben did a phenomenal job with the production - a truly fantastic album! 1. Wildflowers 2. You Don't Know How It Feels 3. Time To Move On 4. You Wreck Me 5. It's Good To Be King 6. Only A Broken Heart 7. Honey Bee 8. Don't Fade On Me 9. Hard On Me 10. Cabin Down Below 11. To Find A Friend 12. Higher Place, A 13. House In The Woods 14. Crawling Back To You 15. Wake Up Time
Wildflowers is a beautiful album by Tom Petty. It’s a record I have never tired of. This record has Petty showing a more intimate side at times. Rockers like “You Wreck Me” give fans a taste of what Petty does best, but he also takes you in by acoustic guitar, and keeps you there until the very end on songs like “Wildflowers”. Brilliant. Masterpiece. Petty.
