I hear a lot of complaints about the speed and development of this particular book. NO SPOILERS. As i mentioned i won't spoil anything but i feel like what this book portrays or bring to the feel of things is important to the development of the series. sure it might feel slow to some but i like the immersible feel that all that detail gives you Robert Jordan was really an amazing author. The book does not bring too many suprises or developments but i think it is a good read and an essential part to the storyline itself
Continuation of the "Wheel of Time" series. Must read previous books in order to be able to follow this edition.

I bought this book to continue this marvelous saga. I found Book 10 - Crossroads of Twilight - in an airport bookstore some years ago, and knew after reading it that I had to find the whole series. This is Lord Of The Rings on steroids! Rich in detail, wonderful characters that grow and change and are all too human, even when they do inhuman things. Innocence is shattered, love conquers...sometimes on the same page! 14 books may seem like a lot to get through, especially when each one is a hefty volume all on its own. But I haven't found myself getting bored or having to struggle to get through any of them so far. The only thing I've found that I don't like...is the time I have to wait for the next volume to arrive! :)
I haven't started reading this particular book yet, but I like the wheel of time series. They are big long books so I still read other books in between each book in this series. Being such a long series, I really feel like I know the characters. It's like reading a never ending story. It's great. Thank you Robert Jordan. We will miss you.
I love this series. If you like fantasy, this series is a must. Worth every minute spent. Robert Jordan is truly the next Tolkien. He paints moods, atmospheres and scenes vividly with words. He portrays the oft humorous, mutual misunderstanding between men and women and then riveting action both with as much skill. He weaves a tapestry of characters, every one well enough developed that you feel you know them.
