The first scene is very compelling, a domestic violence victim fights back and escapes with her little dog. A Good Samaritan takes her to a vet that happens to have a very rich BFF who runs a couple of safe houses for battered women. (What are the odds?!) We know from the beginning that the husband will find her eventually, and he has a work connection to one of the do-gooders. Of course she falls in love with the first man she meets. Throughout the story she is overly concerned about having a new name (as in witness protection), and she yammers on about it annoyingly. The conversations are ridiculous for anyone normal living in the real world. Worst of all was the snowy scene on the freeway with her husband, her lover and her friend (with her little dog) all pursuing her. Craziness!
