I've never had a 32' ladder before, and I just bought this, so I cannot comment on how it will age. But this product is pretty simple and sturdy. It is heavy to carry around and hard to move while extended, and the rope and pulley are essential to extending it. When using the rope, I recommend wearing work gloves for a better grip, since it is made of more slippery nylon. The whole thing can thankfully separate into two parts, making it a lot easier to store, move around, and use the separate parts for moderately high reaches. Fully extended, the ladder of course wobbles in the middle but in no way seems flimsy or likely to break. The feet are sturdy and usually don't get stuck in the wrong position like my older ladder. I never experienced any slipping or sliding left or right.

This ladder is very sturdy and well made. It's easy enough to carry and set up. The ladder is very stable when climbing, and doesn't overly flex. We bought this ladder to reach a louver at 29.5 feet, and you can easily extend your hand to reach 31 feet to the peak of the house, which is perfect for painting. I'd highly recommend this ladder to anyone looking for a quality ladder.

No complaints from my father as it was purchased for him to use to paint the house. Very very sturdy since it was extremely heavy to lift up by myself. Happy father, happy buyer.

Found this ladder to be very sturdy and I doubt you can find a better price on a ladder of this size. I bought a top rung stabilizer to paint my house and felt as comfortable as I would standing on the ground.
