I already have three of Jamie Purviance’s excellent Weber grilling books (Weber’s Real Grilling, Big Book of Grilling and Way to Grill). Purviance is a top notch grilling chef and an amazing teacher who has quickly brought me from the lowest ranks of grilling skill to restaurant quality. He uses understandable language supplemented by clear photography to illustrate both processes and the finished product. Not just recipes but all you need to know about charcoal and gas grilling (e.g., how to prepare the grill, classic cooking skills or, if desired, the many ways to season everything, how to know when the food is done). His Bistecca alla Fiorentina from Way to Grill is totally out of this world and the vegetables (zucchini, scallions, etc.) are amazing and easy to do with grilling charts and general explanatory sections. Good grilling book for gas or charcoal grills. Most grilling books are written for the authors. You simply do not have the time to do the preparations or find the ingredients. This book highlights simple, easy to follow instructions to grill a large variety of steaks, seafood, chicken, veggies, etc. Recommended. Absolutely great pictures for each recipe.

The first part of the book is a real guide how to use the grill, the Fire and how to select and create Rubs, Marinades and Sauces... A great idea for parties or sunday's BBQ...the best way to surprise your friends with amazing steacks and ribs!!! This book is also a great gift for who loves BBQ!!
This book is a great option for anyone who LOVES to grill. It far exceeds any grilling book I have ever seen and I'm a cookbook collector (have over 500 cookbooks). Both my husband and son have it and have tried several of the recipes so far - we really like the recipe for the Southwest Rub. Not only are there wonderful, EASY recipes, there is information about grills, how to care for them, how to choose them, how to use them. And, there are some really fantastic photos used to illustrate each chapter. Do we like this book? Oh, yeah! So much so that it is on the list of books we'll choose for gifts in the future....so look out, eBay-ers....I'll be bidding against you on this one!!!!
I purchased this book and thought it would make a great gift for a relative. They have enjoyed using the many recipes in this book as much as we have. If you are looking for a good grilling cook book this is a must have. This book also gives you grilling facts that we were unaware of. For example, this book went on to explain direct and indirect flame grilling. Now that we know what meats to use on what flame setting we are enjoying many more meals than we would have. This book was a definite good investment for us.
