I wouldn't consider this easy to install for the following reason: If you are installing on an existing door that already has the bore hole drilled that is the problem. Most door bore holes on existing doors are over 2 inches. You can see that this door set is narrow--it's only 2 inches wide at the widest point with rubber stopper. So, if you're trying to replace a regular door knob with this handset you won't be able to without having open space where the diameter of the circle cutout bore hole is greater than the width of product . You may be able to modify it with a wrap around plate but the standard wraparounds come with the same size predrilled bore hole over 2 inches. May try a blank one but that would involve cutting through stainless. Probably works great with a new door where you are going to drill the bore hole yourself and can make it smaller but if you have an existing bore hole in your door already then it's too big for the width of this product. If this handset were a little wider it would cover the hole properly but it doesn't. Other than that it seems like a nice, quality product but it's not a pop out of the box and easily install if you have an existing door with a normal bore hole. You will likely need to do some type of modification that involves a drill. If you're doing a brand new door I'd say that it is a quality well built product and buy it. It's just that it's narrow for existing doors. I have an idea I'm going to try. We'll see if it works. I hope that the seller responds and there is a solution to this. Maybe they can modify the design to be slightly wider to cover the hole for future manufacture. But I wouldn't consider it "easy" to install on an existing American door with a 2+ inches bore hole. You're going to need extra materials and tools.Read full review
