This is a darling peek into the mind of woman experiencing life's growing pains. She endures the humiliation and violence of a once-loving-now-violent pig of a man portrayed in a way that only those who have experienced domestic violence can understand. Somehow she manages to hang on to a job she adores despite her husband's tantrums which is her escape and sanctuary; making all kinds of delightful, unusual pies is her passion and her distraction as she plots a way to escape from the evil Earl. Unfortunately, her plan to escape is foiled when she discovers she is pregnant with Earl's demon spawn, and then even more so when Earl finds the cash she has hidden for when she leaves. The saving grace in her life becomes the town's handsome gynecologist as she finds herself in a torrid, sexually explosive affair with quite by accident. It is through his love and support that she eventually tells Earl the marriage is over. At the end of the movie a secret kindness is bestowed upon the new mother that changes the course of her life forever. Perhaps a little predictable, this sweet, charming film has the flavor of a Shakespearean comedy of errors. Heart warming and satisfying, just like the many pies produces by the heroine.Read full review
The price was certainly right. Great movie!! Only problem is we had to turn up the volume all the way because we could barely hear the actors speak. Received in short amount of time.

Good story full of interesting characters. Andy Griffith was a surprise and a gem of a role for him. Keri Russell was great and the namesake of the story. One of the warm hearts of the story was the actual author of the screenplay (and an actress in the movie) who was subsequently murdered (in real life) before the movie ever came out. What a sweetheart she was!
I'd seen "Waitress" a couple times before, and decided I really wanted to own it for myself. It's a quirky comedy about a small-town waitress who has a gift for baking pies. The plot revolves around her unexpected pregnancy. The actors are great, especially Nathan Fillion as the OB/GYN. The dynamic between Jenna (the protagonist) and her friends was wonderful. Quirky, sometimes poignant, somewhat predictable, this movie is definitely worth watching.
I love this movie since the first time I seen it and I had a copy but I lost it or broke it but I bought this one to replace it. Who ever loves a movie about a waitress or about a wedding will love it and want some
