Well I bought this to replace an older model that just wasn't cutting it anymore. This unit works great. I've been attacking my extremely high weeds in my back yard. It's easy to handle and is a work horse.

The idea of an electric trimmer seems to get rid of the keeping a gas trimmer alive more than one season issue. This is a pretty well designed, light duty machine. If all you want to do ie edge your lawn and do a little lawn trimming this is a fine machine. It is functional for what it is and seems engineered well and despite lots of plastic it doesn't seem flimsy. I am not sure how the auto line feed is designed to work but it often doesn't advance automatically which means you have to turn the trimmer over and manually feed the line by pushing a button. Not a big deal but not something I expected. The batteries last a good while and I have never needed the second one to finish a job. It seems underpowered compared to a gas trimmer and it won't handle growth much tougher than grass. My last trimmer ate through blackberry bushes and this one can't It's not great, It's not bad...its a reasonably good light duty trimmer that if that is all you need might just work. If you have a need to do bigger or tougher jobs look elsewhere. I wish I had spent more and bought a more robust trimmer.Read full review

This tool is light weight, which I need. It does an okay job, but the wheels fall off very easily. I really need the wheels to help carry the weight, which is why I bought this weed eater/trimmer. I have tree roots that have grown just under the top soil, creating bumps and irregular terrain. The wheels fell off while I was trying to cut the grass. Also, it doesn't cut very low to the ground, so I have to trim more frequently than I mow to maintain my yard. It is also difficult to use with my sloping yard. The last thing is the multiple positions... while it adds to the multiple uses of this tool, it doesn't stay in position, I have to constantly move the guard, or re-lower the handle to finish the job I was doing. If you have a smooth yard, with no slope no bumps and irregular areas, this is perfect. The batteries are great, the weight is good. It is cumbersome to use, but for the price, and not a lot of other choices, it is okay.Read full review

I wish I had not boughten this, It doesn't cut grass in tight or along a solid area! It takes 2-4 times going over the same area! I nor my husband are impressed! I wish I could return it! Oh, the light wieght line, doesn't cut very well, guess that's why you have to continually go over the same area to get it to cut. I suppose if you take the safety guard off it might do better, but that's not wise. It took me 2-3 times longer to do my lawn work and I have a small yard! Sorry, I am just being honest and my husband feels the same way! Guess we will buy the one he wanted before I got this one! One positive on this item, the battery lasted longre than I expected, but 75% through my lawn work, I had to change to the 2nd battery. I think one battery would have lasted the entire time, if I could get the grass egded against our wooden fence!Read full review
