My purchase of the Wilson Ci9 irons is the second purchase of a set of Wilson irons for myself. I was so impressed with the first set, I decided to buy these Ci9's just to upgrade. The Ci9's are a very sharp looking club with a lot of performance built into them. They are well balanced and have a great deal of feel when striking the ball. Like my previous set of Wilsons, these irons hit the ball a long ways. I can look to get an extra ten to fifteen yards of distance on a typical hit. For example, I will get around 165 yards out of a seven iron. The Aldilla Proto shafts that my set came with are an attractive charcoal gray and have every bit of Aldilla's excellent performance qualities. I am a 12 handicap player that plays about a dozen times a month on public courses has a swing speed of around 90 and do just fine with these clubs in a stiff shaft. I would not consider any other manufacturers irons as The Wilson product is everything a golfer needs at much less of a price.Read full review
Never owned a new set of clubs, have played a used but very good set of Tommy Armour 855's for the past few years. Researched Callaway, Taylor Made, Tour Edge ect... and the Wilson Staff CI9's, I owned a set set of Wilsons way back when and they were a decent club for the price. I have to say same goes for the CI9's, well made clubs and priced affordably. I love everything about them, appearance at address is the biggy, they're beautiful. Standard grips are nice but to small, re-gripped with mid-size golf pride tour wrap and was good to go, solid feel and forgiving, no sting or vibration on miss hits. A great set of clubs for the money. If your looking for a good set of clubs that are comparable to to the top manufactures you can't go wrong with these.
What a excellent club, i really satisfied with it. i'm a 12 handicap & my handicap when down to 9 since i scored well with these iron set. i used these club without going to the Driving range and i used it straight for tournament and i scored well during the tournament and i even got eagle on the par 4 using the 6 iron during the tournament.on the 2nd day of the tournament i almost got hole in 1 using the 4 iron. this is my 1st purchase on wilson staff iron, i used to have callaway X forge & Ping i3. this is one of the best club i ever bought so far it has everything on it.anyone who are looking for a iron set should try these out you would not regret it
Great set of irons and at a great price makes these irons a bonus! Upgraded from Wilson Ci7 irons w/steel Precision 5.5 shafts. Wanted to switch to graphite shafts. The graphite shafts combined with the new heads makes playing more enjoyable. Golf is a head game and perception is everything. Some perceive that having a heavily advertised name on their equipment must somehow improve their game. Others, like me prefer to go with Form, Fit and Function to grade their equipment. The Ci7’s are great and adding the Precision 5.5 shafts made them better. At my age (68) I am now looking for a better fit and the lightness and performance of the Aldila stiff graphite shafts are a perfect fit. Consider this: Wilson irons have won more majors than any other brand.
beautiful irons...nice grips...light and easy to swing...got them for a steal and would prob pay more
